Introduction
I’m going to be honest with you. I am not an expert at using Canva. In fact I’ve been using it, as of writing this blog post, for less than a week. I will tell you want I know about Canva, how I have used Canva so far, how I plan to use Canva in the future and how you can sign up for Canva.
What the Heck is Canva?
Canva is a photo editor unlike any I have ever seen. I really is amazing what you can do with a free Canva account. Canva allows you to work with many different sized images. This is a huge plus if you are working with different social media networks as they all use different image sizes and shapes.
As far as what kind of editing you can do with Canva, I can only speak on creating images for Pinterest that have text overlay. Canva kicks butt at this! I have made tons and everyone is better than the last.
There is a bit of a learning curve. You just kind of have to play with if for a while. On mobile some of the elements are hard to select when you try to edit because of their small size. When this happens to me I move over to my computer to finished editing because it is easier.
How I Use Canva
The main thing I am using Canva for is to create awesome Pinnable images with text overlay. Canva makes this type of image so much better than what I was doing before. If you would like to read about that check out the blog post linked below.
Posting attractive images with readable text overlay has increased my blogs website traffic. My main social media focus right now is Pinterest. I truly suggest, if you are using Pinterest, that you try out Canva.
How I Plan to Use Canva
In the future I plan to start using Canva to create better YouTube thumbnails, Instagram images, and infographics for my blog and Pinterest. I think the potential the Canva has to create eye catching images is huge.
