Introduction
When most people start looking into affiliate marketing they do not have a lot of spare money to invest in a website.
In this blog post I will talk about how you can start affiliate marketing without a website using Pinterest.
What Should You Promote?
I suggest only promoting products and services you have used and understand.
Most companies have affiliate programs so do not get to worried about finding the right one.
Your firsthand knowledge is more important than the affiliate offer.
You can find affiliate programs by googling the products or services you are familiar with and adding the words “affiliate program†to the search.
How Do You Promote Your Affiliate Offer On Pinterest?
There is a lot that goes into growing a Pinterest account and I have written about that in the blog post below.
Plan Your Pin
I will try to quickly explain how to plan and set up a pin to promote an affiliate offer.
To create this type of pin you will need –
- A pin title
- An eye catching image of the product in use
- A micro review as the description
- The hashtags #ad and #affiliate in the description
- The affiliate link as the linked website
The Pin Title
This is pretty straight forward. It should be as simple as the product or service name plus the words review in description.
Feel free to get creative with it if you like but do not be misleading.
The Eye Catching Image
It is best if you can take a vertical photo of yourself or someone else using the product.
You can edit this photo or at text to it to make it more efficient.
I use Canva which I wrote about in the post linked below to edit my pin images.

The Micro Review
Pin descriptions can have up to 500 characters. Use this space to write a micro review of the product. Be honest and personal. Try to include a few related keywords the product as hashtags. 3 to 5 hashtags should be fine. Do not over think it.
Include #ad And #affiliate
This is a big deal! Do it. You do not want to get in trouble with Pinterest. This just lets users know that this pin is and ad.
Pin Your Affiliate Link
After everything else is done add your affiliate link to the website part of the pin. Now you just need to put it in an appropriate Pinterest board.
Conclusion
This is the simplest and most honest why I have found for someone to do affiliate marketing without a website. Let me know if this post was helpful. Have a great day!
